Three ways on how to NOT waste your Money!

Another Job email!

I know it can be hard to find a job but this email from crmglobalresources.com was one of those that I thought I would talk about even more.

Here is what she said in the email:

Are you still available and looking for a new position? We were forwarded your resume and based upon your background and geographic location it may be a good match. Our Human Resources Department is currently scheduling company overviews this week for several of positions that we have open. I would like you to consider what we have to offer as a company.

We’ve recently launched a new Consulting Division and need individuals for Human Resources, Marketing, Recruitment, and Business Development. Experience is not required, although having a background in any of the above mentioned is helpful.

they also tried to have me join this web conference of there’s.   I didn’t want to  say this is a scam but every time I get these types of emails something just sounds the sirens.   I thought it would be nice for a change to tell you how to find out if a website is trust worthy or not.

Checking out the Business!

Having done this several times, I have come to use Whois.net to check out the background of the domain in question.   The site in question has only been made in the last few months.   No mater where your from you will always want to check out if a site is brand new or has been in business for quite some time.

While looking at Whois, I also see something quite interesting about domain.   Having been around the block and knowing about proxy security.   You get to wonder why this business would be proxying their address and number.

Let Google be your friend!

Never have a once not used a KEYWORD to find out more about company then when I am looking to find out more information about a company.   Never be afraid to ask words such as scam, pay, and whois.  Although these are just a few good keywords there are a ton of ways to find out information that you otherwise would never of found had you only searched for a certain term.

Nothing you put in search is ever going to be 100% right but it will give your more of an idea of what people and news are saying about this.   You can find out everything you might want to know about a business or website just by adding those to your search terms.

Check the website out!

Having been making my websites in the past, I know all to well that there are going to be people who may want a site template and just use that as their website and not change anything else.   You’ll have to check out the site and make your own determination about if it looks like a template website with stock photos and words or if they actually put a lot of effort and time into the website.   The more questions you ask about the website and find out the more you can avoid being scammed.

After doing my research for the site in questions I must say that according to others, you will have to pay them money 199$.   That really isn’t a deal in my mind and I suggest people go someplace else so as to not get ripped off by this so called company.

Why pay for something, when it is free!!

Today I saw something I wanted to point out:

personal-antivirus.org

Which if you click on any of these links it will lead you to something like this:

personal-antivirus.org1

Then if you feel this out you will be directed to this:
personal-antivirus.org2

Now if no red flags have produced anything yet, because I am sure one why would this software that can be free for anyone who wants to use Google, Yahoo, or Bing want to pay for this type of service.    I can only fathom what they are going to do with your Credit card information or for that matter your Email address, could this be a way to harvest people’s email address or credit cards.

[ad]Some of the products they are trying to have you pay on a yearly basis are:

  • [intlink id=”3884″ type=”post”]SuperAntiSpyware[/intlink]
  • [intlink id=”4305″ type=”post”]AVG 8.5[/intlink]
  • [intlink id=”2205″ type=”page”]Zonealarm
  • Clamwin
  • Kespersky
  • Nod32
  • [/intlink]

These are just a few, here are the sites that are associated doing the same thing:

  • antivirus-2009-version.com
  • anti-virus-link.org
  • anti-virus-101.com
  • vlc-software.com
  • popupremoval.com
  • personal-antivirus.org
  • open-office-software.com
  • open-office-pro.com
  • open-office-download.org
  • open-office-2009.com
  • musicmembersarea.com
  • itunes-muzic.com
  • anti-virus-removal.info
  • 2009-edition.org
  • itunes-8.com
  • 2009-anti-virus-download.com
  • wire2009.com
  • share-free.info
  • pdf-platinum.info
  • org-eng.info
  • muzic-share.com
  • get-flash-player-10.com
  • full-edition.info
  • free-antivirus2009.com

  • antivirus-center.org
  • 8-anti-virus-download.com

  • free-antivirus-software.org

As you can see this is a long list but all these are using Domainsbyproxy.com and we don’t know who it is in reality.  It is always best to download through the vender of the product you are looking for then to download from some server you don’t know anything about.

After checking out the profile I see that it has a link to a site that basically asking for your personal address and your email account. After I go check the site I see in really small catch you have to pay 3.95 for Shipping and Handling. Well You know what they say, nothing ever is Free. This looks to be a way to get email addresses to spam in the long run. I wouldn’t give them any information because this is looking to be a scam and I hate scams. You best bet is to go on with your life and report this spam to twitter. This however got my attention because of the who it was, and that is probably why they chose the name. It is however quite funny. 🙂

Understanding Adsense for the Beginner

So you have a website and you’d like the site to pay for itself. That can be arranged it however depends on your website performance. You see you won’t make a lot of money if you don’t have several things going for you. I thought I share with you my experience with making money through Adsense. As you saw, I made enough money to pay for the website for 5 years. It isn’t hard to make money it is however very difficult to keep getting the money. Most people don’t know the tricks to making money with Google’s Adsense.

I’m here to help you out a little with understanding it and getting even more money from your adsense.   So here we are 3 months into to putting Adsense seriously on my site and let’s take a look shall we:

My earnings for 3 months

As you can see I started off quite slowly as I figured out how to best do it but gained momentum after that.    First Month I made $17.19 and the Second Month I made $45.57, the last month I made $64.99 totaling $127.75 leaving me with 16.75$ from the few previous months that I tinkered with Adsense.   So where do you start?  I found that to be the hardest part, because of the complexity of where I could put the ads.   I tried having strips breaking up the text in my blog post that really didn’t get me hardly any clicks.  Then I started to incorporate the Adsense into the posts.  I learned how to do it through a great blog post and I’ll talk about that later.   Here’s what you need to know right now though:

    [ad#ad2-right]

  • Create good content —  This goes without saying that if you don’t have good content people will never find your site.   There are a multitude of ways to create content.   Some of the most useful for me is How-to, finding a Niche, and Also just blogging about what you passionate about.   These will often draw people to your website.
  • Gjaylaramieet people to link to your post —  This will help with search engines because they do some math to figure out if your a real site and how trustworthy your site is on the internet.
  • Use Microblogging —  It is well known people use Twitter, Friendfeed, and others a like to tell people what they post about.   It can be great place to help promote your blog and get people to come more and more to your site.
  • Try not to annoy the users with Ads — This is the most important if you want people to come back to your site you should make sure you don’t send people away from your site.  People will not want to come back if you annoy them to much.   So it is essential that you keep them happy.
  • Find a good blog theme — A good theme helps bring people to your site by making it easier to read and find what they are looking for.  You might also consider making a sneeze page to keep people coming back to your site.  This will help your readers and make it more of your own.  You might also want to buy a theme for your blog sooner or later.

With These tips and tricks you too could be on your way to having a great blog.   I would be willing to bet that soon I will be triple that amount if I keep up with what I am doing.   I hope you tell people about this blog and let people know how good this blog is for you.   Remember only you can prevent virus infections.

Technorati Officially laysoff 6 people!!

Technorati released today they are going to Lay off 6 people and I will quote:
[ad#ad2-left-1]

Unfortunately, this means sacrifices. Technorati’s management team members are taking pay cuts ranging from 15-25% and employees are taking 10% cut. This also includes the reallocation of staff. We’re laying off six employees today – including two executives — and there are two additional departures we won’t replace. These are high performers who have worked long hours to get us where we are now. They’re also friends, and we’re very sad to see them go. We simply need a leaner and reconfigured mix to get us through 2009.

[via Technorati Weblog]

They will also be taking pay cuts all through the company.  So the recession is hitting them also.  I am sure CEO Richard Jalichandra has the company interest in mind.  According to Techchunch, they have added these recent layoffs ticker.   You can also search my blog for other layoffs that have happened or will happen.
